On the 3rd Wednesday of every month, Klaytn Governance Council has monthly meetings.

In the September meeting on 20 September, the following agenda was discussed. Please see the link for more information on the agenda.

1. KF and GC Members had a discussion on KLAY Value Creation Strategy of Klaytn. In particular, different ways of burning KLAY through the support of GC members and other Klaytn ecosystem participants, including the ongoing discussion with KlaySwap, SuperWalk, and Klaytn Name Service (KNS), were discussed.

2. KF explained the progress of the liquidity pool development funded through the Klaytn Governance Proposal 13-2. The case of injective protocol was introduced as well as the ongoing work on Uniswap v3.

3. An initial concept of a GC Fund for liquidity pool support, which aims to develop several DEX liquidity pools with the purpose of buying back and burning KLAY using pool revenue was explored, to be discussed further. Also, KF mentioned KF and GC should start discussions on adjusting the inflation rate of Klaytn, including the introduction of other tokenomics optimization mechanisms such as halving periods.

4. KF also suggested repurposing part of the Audit Fund run by Quantstamp and Haechi Labs approved by KIR-14 and 17 for other ecosystem support. The agenda will be brought to the GC voting.

5. KF emphasized the importance of GC members in the operation of the governance forum and introduced a new forum category for discussing proposals from GC and KF with the participation of GC members and the Klaytn Community.

6. Kakao Pay supported the idea of GC Fund for the success of the Klaytn ecosystem and requested legal and accounting advice from KF to realize the idea of GC Fund.

7. CREDER-ITCEN raised concerns about the adjustment of the inflation rate due to the high infrastructure cost for operating Core Cell Nodes. KF explained that the latest hard fork of the Mainnet includes some measures to reduce the storage size, which will be helpful in reducing the infrastructure cost.

8. SwapScanner raised issues on the KCF Grant Pilot. Even though we should make efforts to minimize KLAY supply, we also need to use KCF to support the Klaytn ecosystem, especially for the survival of necessary infrastructures. In particular, as there was no clear guideline on the acceptable grant size and the priority of the Klaytn Foundation, it was not easy for the applicants to make acceptable proposals and for GC members to express their ideas on grant proposals.

9. SwapScanner supported the idea of introducing KLAY burning mechanisms to different Klaytn ecosystem projects. On the other hand, for projects with tokens, it is not easy for them to change their contract structure as it can be considered malfeasance.

10. SwapScanner mentioned KF is making a lot of efforts to support the Klaytn ecosystem, but the community is not aware of the efforts. The information on the activities of KF should be shared with the community through the channels of the ecosystem players and Klaytn Square.

11. Jump-Everstake and DORA supported the idea of repurposing the audit fund.

1. Klaytn 재단과 GC는 KLAY의 가치 창출 전략에 대해 논의했습니다. 특히 KlaySwap, SuperWalk, Klaytn Name Service (KNS) 와의 지속적인 논의를 비롯해 GC 멤버들과 다른 클레이튼 생태계 참여자들의 지원을 통해 클레이를 소각하는 다양한 방법들에 대한 논의가 이루어졌습니다.

2. 재단은 Klaytn Governance Proposal 13-2를 통해 자금이 지원된 유동성 풀 진행 현황을 공유 했습니다. Injective protocol의 사례와 현재 진행 중인 유니스왑 v3에 대한 작업도 소개되었습니다.

3. 유동성 풀 (LP) 지원을 위한 GC 펀드 구성에 대한 초기 논의가 시작 되었고, 개념은 GC보유 KLAY를 활용해서, Klaytn 풀 수익으로 클레이를 매입하고 소각할 목적으로 여러 개의 DEX 유동성 풀을 개발하는 것을 목표로 하며, 추후 계속 논의될 예정입니다. 또한, 반감기 등 일부 Tokenomics Optimization 메커니즘 도입을 포함하여 Klaytn의 인플레이션율 조정에 대한 논의를 시작해야 한다고 KF와 GC가 언급했습니다.

4. 재단은 KIR-14와 17에서 승인한 Quantstamp와 Haechi Labs가 운용하는 오딧 펀드의 일부를 다른 생태계 지원을 위해 사용하도록 용도를 변경할 것을 제안했습니다. 이 안건은 GC 투표에 상정될 예정입니다.

5. 재단은 거버넌스 포럼 운영에 있어 GC 멤버들의 중요성을 강조하며, GC 멤버와 클레이튼 커뮤니티가 참여해 GC와 KF의 제안을 논의할 수 있는 포럼 카테고리를 신설했습니다.

6. Kakao Pay는 Klaytn 생태계의 성공을 위해 GC 펀드의 아이디어를 지지하고, 이를 실현하기 위해 KF에 법률 및 회계 자문을 요청했습니다.

7. CREDER-ITCEN은 코어 셀 노드 운영을 위한 높은 인프라 비용으로 인해 인플레이션율 조정에 대한 우려를 제기했습니다. 이에 대해 Klaytn 재단은 최근 메인넷의 하드포크에 스토리지 크기를 줄이는 조치가 포함되어 있어 인프라 비용 절감에 도움이 될 것이라고 설명했습니다.

8. SwapScanner는 KCF 보조금 파일럿에 대한 문제를 제기했습니다. KLAY 공급을 최소화하기 위한 노력도 필요하지만, Klaytn 생태계, 특히 필수 인프라의 존속을 위해 KCF를 사용할 필요가 있다는 것입니다. 특히, Klaytn 재단의 허용 가능한 지원금 규모와 우선순위에 대한 명확한 가이드라인이 없었기 때문에 지원자들이 수용 가능한 제안을 하고, GC 멤버들이 지원금 제안에 대한 아이디어를 표현하는 것이 쉽지 않았음을 지적했습니다.

9. SwapScanner는 다양한 Klaytn 생태계 프로젝트에 KLAY 소각 메커니즘을 도입하자는 아이디어를 지원했습니다. 반면, 토큰을 보유한 프로젝트의 경우 부정행위로 간주될 수 있기 때문에 계약 구조를 변경하는 것이 쉽지는 않다는 점도 언급되었습니다.

10. SwapScanner는 재단이 Klaytn 생태계를 지원하기 위해 많은 노력을 기울이고 있지만, 커뮤니티는 이를 잘 알지 못한다고 언급했습니다. 재단의 활동에 대한 정보는 생태계 플레이어와 Klaytn Square의 채널을 통해 커뮤니티와 공유되어야 한다고 의견을 제시했습니다.
